Principal Designer

With a background in psychology from the University of California Berkeley, Catherine has always been fascinated with creating environments and spaces to fit our busy lives and merging functionality with aesthetics.  With over 15 years of residential interior design experience, Catherine started her design career by following her love of antiques to work at Bonhams’ international auction house.  She continued on to work at one of the leading interior design companies in the world, an Architectural Digest 100 design firm, heading projects across the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as in Hawaii and New York.  After growing with a San Francisco retail and interior design boutique, she started Catherine W Design LLC in 2019.  Catherine is known for creating classic yet comfortable interiors that fit our modern lifestyles.  Her work has appeared in Architectural Digest, West Coast Modern,and California Home and Design.  Recent projects are in Half Moon Bay, Silver Terrace, Palo Alto, and a Beijing consultation.
